History of our Mortgage Lending Cooperative Company
Mann Mortgage was incorporated in Montana in 1989 as a one-man operation with Don Mann as its only employee. For one year, Don worked solo in Kalispell, Montana originating and closing loans on his own. In 1990, Mann Mortgage was joined by locally-owned Financial Services, Inc. whose founder and owner, Tom Greiner, shared Don Mann’s vision. Soon, Don and Tom grew beyond their modest Kalispell origination office and began hiring additional loan officers. In 1993, Mann Mortgage gained its first branch in Helena, Montana. With this, Mann Mortgage began in earnest to execute the concept of a mortgage net branching cooperative. After all, the Kalispell and Helena offices worked cooperatively, sharing common expenses, and cultivating strategies that complemented their respective communities. As word of Mann Mortgage’s cooperative lending model and good reputation spread throughout Montana, Missoula and Billings branches soon joined. During the last decade, Mann Mortgage has established new branch offices throughout the states of Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, California, Alaska, Hawaii, as well as Montana. We are also licensed and excited to conduct business in North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado and Arizona—as well as other states West of the Mississippi River. Mann Mortgage's mortgage net branching company model offers mortgage lenders opportunities to grow at an accelerated pace, with less risk, deeper support and greater profitability. Mann Mortgage is a full service mortgage bank with a staff of professionals offering expertise in every area of mortgage lending. The Mann Mortgage Corporate Office, Accounting Department, Human Resources Department, Information Technology Department, and all Operations are located in Kalispell, Montana with additional Underwriters, Closing and Information Technology staff in Helena, Montana. We presently have 26 branch offices, 6 satellite offices and 175 employees.
